Document Subscriptions

Welcome to the village Document Subscriptions page.  The Village is excited to offer this communication tool as a method of keeping in touch with our citizens.  Below is a description of how to use this feature of our website.

In order to subscribe to documents on the village website users must have a user account on this website.  To create an account click on the login button on the bottom left of any page on this site.  After a user creates an account they can navigate into the "Village Documents" page on the site. 

On the  "Village Documents"  page there are folders for various village departments committees, and functions. 
 Village Documents Committees / Boards / Commissions Departments/Offices   
The Documents feature on the site is organized in a folder structure.   All agendas and minutes and meeting information will be located under  Committees / Boards / Commissions  folder.  The documents will then be located under the name of the specific committee.   Departmental information will be located under the name of the department Departments/Offices.    

Users can navigate into a folder they are interested in and click the subscribe  button.  If a user is on a page with many folders displayed they can select multiple items by placing a check in the box and then clicking on the subscribe  button.

When a user subscribes to a folder on the site they will receive an E-Mail.  The content will look like this:

An email will come from the Village when a new item is added / deleted from a folder.  The email will provide a link to the document added to the site and the user can click on the link to go the document, they user can then view or download the document.

When logged in a user can click My Subscriptions to see a list of all folders they are currently subscribed to.  If a user wants to end a subscription they can login and click My Subscriptions  .  A list of all folders that the user has subscribed to will display.  The user can select one or multiple items and then select the Unsubscribe  button.
