Noteworthy Cases
08-01-2010 Officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of Siggelkow Road for a disturbance. Officers arrived to find two subjects physically restraining a third subject on the ground of the parking lot. Officers were able to subdue the subject and arrested him for disorderly conduct.
08-08-2010 An officer stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic violation. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and eventually arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence-5th offense. The driver was also charged with prohibited alcohol concentration and operating after revocation. The driver had a .258 blood alcohol concentration.
08-08-2010 Officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of Marsh Road for a disturbance. While officers were responding to the call, dispatch advised there was a traffic crash in the parking lot and the vehicle had rolled over. It was later learned the vehicle had rolled over due to driving up a skateboard ramp in the McFarland Skateboard Park. The driver was found unconscious by officers. The driver was transported to the hospital by EMS and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and having a prohibited alcohol concentration. The investigation revealed there was some sort of altercation that led to the suspect getting into his vehicle and driving recklessly through the parking lot.
08-11-2010 Officers responded to US Highway 51 near Farwell Street for a traffic crash. Officers arrived to find a vehicle had struck a motorcyclist while changing lanes. The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital by EMS. The vehicle driver was cited for unsafe lane deviation.
08-13-2010 An officer attempted to stop a motorcycle for not wearing eye protection. The motorcyclist appeared to be attempting to elude the officer until it crashed at an intersection. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and underage. The driver was eventually arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and prohibited alcohol concentration. The driver’s father had come to the traffic scene to check on his son. The father was also under the influence of alcohol and eventually arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence-3rd offense.
08-19-2010 Officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Yahara Drive for a disturbance. Officers arrived to find a husband and wife had been fighting. The officers eventually arrested a subject for domestic related disorderly conduct, battery, and intimidation of a victim.
