A shopping bus will be offered for Dane County seniors on the third Monday of each month. Seniors, age sixty and over, who can shop independently, will have the opportunity to shop in Cambridge. Whether it is a trip to the grocery store, a hair salon, the bank, an attorney, or any business within Cambridge, the bus will be available. For a cost of $2 round-trip, seniors will be picked up at their homes, taken to the selected destination, and returned home. The bus will take seniors between the hours of 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., with the pick-up time determined by the senior.
Reservations for the bus should be made by the Thursday before the desired shopping trip. Call 608 838-7117, the office of McFarland Senior Outreach, for reservations. Since this arrangement is provided by Dane County, only Dane County residents living in Cambridge or within one mile of it are eligible for this service.
