The McFarland Police Department is hiring for the position of full-time Police Clerk, anticipated start date in early 2018. This recruitment is posted to fill a position will become open due to an anticipated retirement in 2018.

The McFarland Police Department has an immediate full-time opening for the position of Police Clerk. This position is responsible for typing police reports from dictation, data entry, customer service and other office related duties. The ability to multi-task with accurate and thorough results is essential. Applicants must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, transcription, be able to type 60 wpm and be generally competent in the use of computer equipment. Experience in a law enforcement setting is a plus. Position hours are primarily Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Noon to 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. with flexibility to cover dayshift on a needed basis. Starting wage range is $14.12 - $16.23 per hour, with eligibility for the Village’s Merit Pay Program.
