Senior Outreach

Senior Outreach provides a variety of programs and services for people age 60 and over.  The two primary services include social services and nutrition.  Two licensed social workers help seniors navigate through a maze of information, forms, applications and resources to assist seniors to live safely in their own homes.  The nutrition program offers noon meals during the week, both through home delivered meals and at a meal site.

Other Outreach programs include sponsoring four social groups which meet monthly, health and wellness activities (like yoga and bocce), day trips, and educational and creative programs.  Outreach coordinates transportation to medical appointments, the nutrition site and shopping.  It arranges for seniors to have their toe nails clipped by a home health agency on a monthly basis.  A loan closet is available for those wanting to borrow equipment for short term use.  Senior Outreach organizes card playing and day trips.  Other interesting activities for seniors are provided on a regular basis.
