Community & Economic Development

The Community & Economic Development Department oversees planning and building inspections through the administration of the Village's zoning, subdivision, and building codes with it accomplishes:

  • Conditional use permits
  • Planned developments
  • Plan review of residential and commercial development
  • Review of certified survey maps
  • Site and design reviews
  • Subdivision plats
  • Variance requests

This department creates developments plans for the community such as the Comprehensive Plan, neighborhood plans, Outdoor Recreation Plan, Downtown Master Plan, and Tax Increment Finance Districts.

Sign up to receive emails regarding pending develop applications before the Plan Commission and public engagement activities related to special Community & Economic Development planning projects.  Generally speaking, one Department email is sent out per month.
