Are You OK?
The Are You OK? program is designed provide awareness to McFarland Police Officers of and assist those who may be in need of special attention, such as at-risk seniors and those suffering from mental illnesses.

Bike Rodeo
Each May, members of the Police Department work in conjunction with the Optimist Club of McFarland to sponsor the annual Bike Rodeo event.

Business Watch
The Business Watch program is designed to inform area businesses of information pertinent to them.

Care Trak created telemetry based tracking for people at risk in 1986.

Citizen Ride Along Program
As part of the Department’s community relations efforts, the Department offers residents the opportunity to ride with a police officer during the course of their shift.

Coffee with a Cop
The Police Department has launched a new community outreach program called Coffee with a Cop.

Continuing Outreach And Teamwork (C.O.A.T.)
C.O.A.T. - (Continuing Outreach And Teamwork) is a team of specially trained Police Officers that are community oriented.

Free Gun Lock Program
The Department provides gun locks to residents free of charge.

Internet Transaction Safe Zone
The Department has created an Internet Transaction Safe Zone at the McFarland Municipal Center.

Internship Program
The McFarland Police Department works with local Technical Colleges as well as the UW Criminal Justice Department in helping prepare the next generation of law enforcement officer through its Internship Program.

MedDrop Program
The McFarland Police Department, in conjunction with Safe Communities of Dane County, sponsors a permanent drug-drop receptacle.

Police Cadet Post
The Department proudly sponsors a vibrant Police Cadet Post.

Reach-A-Child
The McFarland Police Department partners with the Reach-A-Child organization to provide children in crisis books and book bags.

Safe Neighborhoods
This program is designed to inform residents of information pertinent to them, such as changes in Village ordinance and state law, current area crime trends, suspicious activity, etc.

Shop with a Cop
Each December, members of the Police Department go Christmas shopping with several children from the community.

Special Needs Awareness Program
As part of our desire to provide the very best police services to our residents, the McFarland Police Department is seeking to enhance its base of knowledge and awareness of the special needs children and adults in our community.
