Tai Chi Classes

Tai Chi combines meditation and movement, making it a good activity for people of all ages and abilities. Classes meet at the McFarland Municipal Center on Fridays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The first class is free for those wanting to try out the class before making a commitment. Cost is $5 per class, pre-paid per month.

StrongBones StrongSeniors - With instructor Terri Martinelli-Reiter

This class is held on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Municipal Center. The Early Class is at 7:30 am; the Late Class is at 9 am. Bring a water bottle and bath towel or mat. This popular class for women and men of all ages emphasizes:

  • Guided strength training
  • Improved sleep and health
  • Increasing balance
  • Muscular strength, which produces stronger bone density and better blood flow
  • Reduced depression
  • Stability

With practice, we introduce hand and ankle weights to gradually increase strength, improving your overall health!

Strong Women - With instructor Kathy Lyons

This class is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the McFarland Municipal Center. The Early Class is 7:45 to 8:45 am; the Late Class is 10 to 11 am. Sign up in class or by email. Checks payable to Kathy Lyons, at registration or by first week of class.
