Exchange Street Reconstruction (2024)
The Village has been studying the reconstruction of Exchange Street from Farwell Street to the Yahara River Bridge for a few years. This road is one of the main thoroughfares serving as an entry point into the Village from US Highway 51 as well as access to several schools and neighborhoods in the area. The Village has been awarded funds through the state to utilize towards costs associated with the road, sidewalk, and stormwater. The Village will have a small share of those same costs plus 100% of the costs for water and sewer. Village costs have been incorporated into the 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan (PDF). Additional documents related to the project include the Exchange Street Plat map (PDF) and Rights of Landowners under Wisconsin Eminent Domain Law (PDF). The most recent Exchange Street Roll Drawing (PDF) was provided by Town & Country Engineering on Monday, December 19, 2022.
