How do I become a volunteer?

Individuals interested in volunteering should download and complete the McFarland Volunteer Application Form (PDF) and a Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk Form (PDF) and submit them to the Village Volunteer Coordinator, Katie Gletty-Syoen. You can also complete the Volunteer Application Form online.

Minors must have a parent or guardian sign this form. Some opportunities with the Village of McFarland will require a criminal background check, often for positions of greater responsibility or authority. If an applicant does not qualify for a position they are interested in, we will make every effort to place the volunteer in an appropriate role. Sensitive personal data used for background checks is deleted from our records after the check is complete. Some volunteer programs have limited capacity for participation and positions are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
